Adult Films - No Rules, No Plan
It’s sun kissed, lo-fi garage pop euphoria on a swooning debut named No Rules, No Plan. Who needs rules and plans when we can let ourselves ride away on the plucky breeziness of this gem? No Rules, No Plan comes from new San Diego act Adult Films. Adult Films is a duo made up of two best buds since high school, bassist/vocalist Max Greenhalgh (of Inspired & The Sleep) and drummer Ryan Mack. They seem to capture that San Diego beach vibe plentifully on their first bopping surf punk meets guitar pop song. Its swirls of ooh oohs are irresistible, reminding me of early The Drums, but with the soft, fuzzy dreaminess of The Antlers.
