London by way of Perth singer songwriter Emmi’s latest single comes in with a choppy, glitchy allure. Sleep On It is a magnificent R&B pop song with massive hooks. Emmi’s powerful voice is joined by a bombastic arrangement of horns, piano, and percussion, altogether reminding me of both Alicia Keys and Tove Styrke. I must confess, it’s a bit hard to “sleep on it” after obsessively listening to this stomping, infectious tune, a top favorite Emmi release so far, for me.
