Nova Heart - Lackluster No.
Ever since Nova Heart was founded mid 2011 in Beijing, the solo voodoo-disco project turned 4piece psych-rock band around lead singer & mastermind Helen Feng has been embraced by critics, the art & fashion crowds + electronic and indie music fans in China and the West.
They are the first chinese band to get high rotation on Triple J in Australia (the Aussie answer to BBC´s Radio One), have been featured in NME, by Rolling Stone´s senior editor David Fricke, collaborated with french filmmaker Vincent Moon (Blogotheque, Arcade Fire) for a Takeaway Show and played Iceland Airwaves.
In 2012 they released their debut EP “Beautiful Boys” in China (licensed in November 2013 to Indica Records Australia with remixes by Acid Washed and Munk) produced by Roman disco cowboy Rodion, toured 5 continents, played some of the most important festivals in China and abroad (a.o. at Transmusicales 2013 in front of 9000 people) as well as some of the most prestigious museums in Germany.
