Kelan - Fragile

Kelan - Fragile

Indie pop singer/songwriter Kelan Huang, started her songwriting journey in a Liverpool bedroom with an acoustic guitar.

Since 2014, she has written about many of the deep emotions that occupied her mind. She often compared songwriting to writing diaries, sharing joys, love and pain. She had no real expectations for where it might lead, but 4 years later it yielded her first original album “Lovers in Winter” (2018 Spotify/iTunes). She continues to document memories from her life journey and expresses her story in her music.

She approaches her live performances in a “Theatrical Style” yet connects with the audience in an intimate manner, recreating the origins of her songwriting in her own bedroom. The authentic and relaxing vibe that she created has become one of the signatures of her live performances, numerals clips of the shows can be found on Youtube.

She awarded her Bachelor and Master Degree in Urban Planning in UK, and in 2018, she enrolled at the California College of Music (Pasadena, CA) in the Artist Development Program.

She is currently writing, composing, and producing her EP documenting her journey from a bedroom in Los Angeles

Abjects - Never Give Up Album · 2019

Abjects - Never Give Up Album · 2019

“Never Give Up” is the debut LP from Abjects composed of singer/guitarist Noemi from Spain, bassist Yuki from Japan and drummer Alice from Italy -- three citizens of the world blasting out a range of energetic garage-punk sounds from London.

Abjects, an all-girl London trio who have been recording for Pins' own Haus of Pins label and they appear to be in their element as they run through an impressive set of edgy garage tunes, perky basslines washed over with lashings of blurry guitar. There doesn't appear to be too many nerves here; indeed, it looks as though the girls have just walked out of the office straight on to the stage and at the conclusion of their set they join the front of the audience to take in the headline act. (Adam-Isolation Records)
Fronted by super confident Spanish singer Noemi and flanked by Yuki on bass and Alice on drums, Abjects played a twenty minute set of Cramps and ‘Nuggets’ era riffs, all beautifully chopped out on Noemi’s ice blue Vox Phantom guitar.(Brightonnoise)

Mini Trees - Steady Me - EP 2019

Mini Trees is the brand-new musical endeavor from LA artist Lexi Vega. In recent years, her musical career has centered around her role as a drummer, both in the studio and onstage, but with the emergence of Mini Trees, the artist unveils her penchant for lyric and melody with her debut EP, Steady Me. These five songs catalog years of navigating unforgiving waters in search of self and frames them with poignancy, a touch of angst, and meticulously crafted guitar and synth textures. Collaborating very closely with producer Jon Joseph, Vega has recorded many instruments on the album herself, creating a short body of powerful work that is very much her own. Steady Me is set to release in Spring 2019. (Alex Valles)

Nicole Yun - Paper Suit

Nicole Yun - Paper Suit

Nicole Yun, best known as the front-woman of indie rock trio Eternal Summers, wrote eight new songs, hopped on a train, and headed north from her Appalachian Virginia home to venture onto a new musical path.

Drawing from her love of Brit Pop bands and 90’s songwriters like Jeff Buckley, Unrest, Juliana Hatfield, and Sean Lennon, Nicole began writing songs without the constraints of expectation. She called on a team of musician friends, sending the demos to Julian Fader in New York City (of Ava Luna, engineer/producer at Gravesend Recordings) and Robert Garcia in Philadelphia (formerly of Bleeding Rainbow, engineer at Hobo Camp) to start planning recording sessions in both cities. Inviting the likes of Doug Gillard of Guided by Voices, Joe Boyer formerly of Cloud Nothings, and Duncan Lloyd of Maximo Park alongside many other talented contributors, the result is Paper Suit, the first solo album by Nicole Yun.
