Natasha Kmeto - Your Girl

Natasha Kmeto - Your Girl

I can’t believe I only found out about Natasha Kmeto a week ago, thanks to her collaboration with TV On The Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe on Grind last week, but now that I’m initiated, I’m paying close attention to the latest developements from the Portland singer songwriter and producer. Today, she unleashed a spellbinding beauty named Your Girl, a slowly yet crisply flowing minimalist electronic pop song. An exquisite palette of woozy bass and sparse but ethereal synths are an enchanting bedrock for Natasha’s beautiful, breathy voice. Your Girl is deeply entrancing in a solemn yet atmospheric fashion. The breathtaking single will be on Natasha Kmeto’s sophomore full length, Inevitable, out September 18th on Dropping Gems.

Natasha Kmeto - Grind (Feat. Tunde Adebimpe)

Natasha Kmeto - Grind (Feat. Tunde Adebimpe)

As quite the die hard fan of TV On The Radio, my heart always skips a beat when I see the name Tunde Adebimpe attached to any collaborative project. And I’m usually not disappointed by what I hear on these fortunate encounters. The latest such treat to surface is a track named Grind from dark electronic pop artist from Portland named Natasha Kmeto, who somehow avoided my radar till now despite how much her haunting music befits my tastes. Consider me a new fan, especially after she enlists Tunde Adebimpe on Grind, a song that, as its title suggests, dredges and gouges a deep impression with its pounding intensity and spectral beauty. Grind will be on Natasha Kmeto’s forthcoming album Inevitable, out September 18th via Dropping Gems.
