STARE KITS - Live at Tier 3 1979
The Stare Kits were formed in New York's East Village during the winter of 1979 by friends Angela Jaeger, Bob Gurevics, Amy Rigby, and her brother Michael McMahon. They played only three shows, all at Tier 3, which was run by Angela’s sister Hilary Jaeger. This is the first time these legendary live recordings have been made public! Sometimes referred to as No Wave, they embraced various musical influences such as The Slits, Buzzcocks, Jefferson Airplane and Wire. Amy writes about how the Stare Kits came together in her must-read memoir Girl To City. Angela’s soon-to-be-published diaries from the time also detail the exuberance from that era.
