Pony Face - Bird Songs
Bird Songs is a rainy-day project that began when (Pony Face drummer) Damian,
acquired an 808 drum machine, inspiring a waterfall of 80’s pop references
that needed to go somewhere. Recorded via file-sharing by band members
separated by lockdown, Bird Songs captures the dreamy and exquisite yearning
of isolation. Bird Songs Vol 1, a seven track EP interpreting songs by Joy
Division, Sparklehorse, Spencer P Jones and Cat Power, among others, will be
released digitally on 1 June.
