I can’t resist good gothy electronic pop music, so when I listened to So Below’s Drift, I was instantly seduced. The New Zealand based artist takes on an industrial edge on Drift, which oscillates and jabs sharply in a hypnotizing, haunting fashion. Poliça meets Claire like deep, husky vocals are irresistibly enticing on the debut song, which fiercely pulses like an ominous blend of How To Destroy Angels, Zola Jesus, and Lydia Ainsworth. So Below has a debut EP in the works, and I can’t wait to hear more from the newcomer.
