'Hunger Game' Mixed by LO
Mastered by Leandro Munoz

Lyrics:

There is something so deep buried in a dream
A dream that you live and breathe
Again and again it’s playing hide and seek
The fire is burning up within
Just keep on going till it hurts
Until the whole world falls in love

Free you ought to be
Fail if you don't win
You won't starve for long
In this hunger game, hunger game x2

Swallow your lonely tears so you make history
Pretend others don’t exist
From the moment you wake till falling back to sleep
17 years on repeat
Just keep on going till it hurts
Until the whole world falls in love

Free you ought to be
Fail if you don't win
You won't starve for long
In this hunger game, hunger game

Keep on keep on keep on going till it hurts
Then the whole world falls in love
Keep on keep on keep on running till you bleed
Then you rise above

Free you ought to be
Fail if you don't win
You won't starve for long
In this hunger game, hunger game x2

Fym Summer - When I Found You

Fym Summer - When I Found You

I'm proud to have the honour of singing and strumming this loveliest song (by Jasmine Rae) for a close friend's wedding in a chapel... :')

Today I held flowers
And I dressed in white
I made a promise
And my mother cried
And every moment
‘Till this one right now
Fades in the shadow of the
Love that we’ve found

Cause I never knew
Love like you show me
You see me you know me
Like no one else
When I found you
I found my safety
And I let it change me
And open my world
When I found you
I found myself

After performing at Royal Academy of Music in London, United Kingdom, Fym delivered a riveting performance of her latest songs such as 'Truth” and 'This Girl” ('Luna' EP) for the UN Women's 16 days of activism, which strives to galvanize action to end violence against women at the campaign in 2016. Fym Summer was also a part of the CITY65 Music’s “The Living Room Sessions (Femme Fatale Version)”, which was featured on The Straits Times and JUICE magazine.
A rare and well sought-after musical artist, Fym has performed many various featured shows including Starbucks Coffee Tour, at South Korea's innovative music cafe dal.komm COFFEE at iconic arts venues such as Esplanade Theatre and Gardens By The Bay, and in schools and hospitals as well. She is the only Singaporean musical artist to be invited to perform her musical works live at the renowned South by Southwest (SXSW) Music Festival held in Austin, Texas and the Canadian Music Week (CMW) in Toronto, Ontario in 2018.

BAER - Addicted To Vibes

BAER - Addicted To Vibes

Born in Taiwan and partially raised in Canada, she feels this exposure to different
cultures has expanded her musical horizons, citing genres such as R&B, Hip Hop, electronica,
and Pop as influencing her sound. Having made a splash last year with her Breathe The Same EP,
BAER is back with River – a new single which showcases her musical mélange, but is at its heart
an emotional but epic ballad, with her searing, soaring vocals taking the track higher and higher
in heartfelt intensity. @ MARK BUCKLEY

San Mei - Heaven

San Mei - Heaven

Written by San Mei
Produced by Oscar Dawson
Mastered by Matt Redlich

Lyrics

If you stay here babe
You're gonna be, be somebody's lonely prize
I loved you once
And your rhythm
Your rhythm's breaking

You want somebody
You need somebody to love
You want somebody
But he's nobody to love

CHORUS
Did you think it was heaven
Was it something like heaven
Think you should take a look close, oh oh
Think you should take a look

If you stay here long
You're gonna feel your head spin out and I
I think you're sweet
But your rhythm, your rhythm's breaking

Sweet child, you're alive
But sweet one you could die

San Mei AKA Emily Hamilton began her musical journey at the keys of her family piano, a consequence of a love ingrained and inherited from her dad’s favourite Beatles records and penchant for classic 60’s pop.

San Mei is enamored with the transportative nature of music, her guitar heavy, delay ridden, dreamy pop explores the hyper-blaze of existence and the intricacies of the in between.

Family and home have always been integral to Hamilton’s creative process. The daughter of Chinese-Malaysian and New Zealand born parents, her family immigrated to Australia at an early age.

Her parents, resilient and sacrificial, nurtured and encouraged her creatively, instilling in her a gift that she would lean on heavily to help diffuse and navigate the chaos of growing up and forging her identity. Using art as therapy, her songs became a conduit for escape and to shoulder the loss of her mother.

Armed with just a MIDI-keyboard and a Macbook San Mei was born. Her DIY project quickly gained groundswell and nods from national tastemakers Triple J, and further afield from heavy weights NME and NYLON.

The DNA of her creativity and pop-influencers matured, taking tips from her guitar driven heroes Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Cat Power and Feist. San Mei shrugged off the bedroom-pop producer epithet and landed in the fuzzy world of dream pop, fused with over-driven, psych tinged guitars, and atmospheric synth melodies, and this is where she found her sonic shelter.

Emerging from the haze, came her first full EP: Necessary, which garnered attention from triple j, with lead single ‘Rewind’ being added to rotation. Follow up single ‘Until You Feel Good’ landed on global new music playlists.

Hamilton then joined forces with producer, songwriter and musical phenom Oscar Dawson (Holy Holy, Alex Lahey, Ali Barter, British India, Robbie Miller, Joyride) after meeting at BIGSOUND 2017. Almost instantly and undeniably, a creative connection was solidified.

Taking on Dawson as a producer has challenged and galvanized the sonic evolution of San Mei.

The collaboration saw the pair refining ideas, exploring soundscapes and laying the foundation for San Mei’s sonic progression, in a collection of new works. Finding freedom in the creative harmony of their partnership, Hamilton explained ‘[Dawson and I] hit it off straight away and it seemed like he understood where I was coming from, even if I had trouble conveying certain ideas in the demos I made at home’ Of these demos, Hamilton offers first single ‘Wonder’.

“The new single Wonder captures the classic butterflies moment when someone unknown to you captures your attention, and you’re not sure why. It’s about that person becoming a mysterious daydream to you, wondering who they are, what they’re about, and that feeling of not knowing if you want them to become anything more than some intoxicating illusion”

Tia Gostelow - Outer Space

Tia Gostelow - Outer Space

Tia Gostelow - Out of Mind

Tia Gostelow - Blue Velvet

Tia Gostelow wrote “State Of Art” in 2015 and was only 16 years old. The song caught the attention of Konstantin Kersting (The Belligerents) and they recorded it together at Airlock Studios in Brisbane. “State Of Art” caught Triple J’s attention wining their 2016 Indigenous Initiative and a place in their Triple J Unearthed High 2016 Top 5.

Things started moving fast with Tia being invited to officially showcase at BIGSOUND 2016. This turned out to be her first ever gig with her band. It also coincided with the release of her second single “Vague Utopia” which was also added to high rotation on Triple J. Both songs mine the sonic vein of classic Australian indie song writing traditions.

The connection with her band mates proved fruitful and saw them support the likes of Frightened Rabbit, Husky and Bernard Fanning. Tia’s team also solidified with her signing with US label Anti Fragile, Australian boutique booking agent Collective Artists and Native Tongue Publishing.

2017 was Tia’s first year out of school and kicked off with new single “That’s What You Get” changing pace with an upbeat sense of fun and which just as much love as previous releases. Awards followed with 6 nominations for the 2017 Queensland Music Awards, including 2 wins, in Schools and Folk Singer/Songwriter categories.

Personally 2017 was huge for Tia with her turning 18 and traveling OS for the first time getting her mind blown by Europe. Musically her most recent single “Hunger” is her most successful to date making the Top 10 most played on Triple J and hitting the 500,000 streams on Spotify.

This year is certainly game on with Tia and her band re connecting with Konstantin at Airlock studios for the final recording session for her debut album due for release on her own label (Lovely Records) in June. She is also leaving her home and hometown of Mackay to join the music community of Brisbane.

Dream Can - Into Sparks

Dream Can - Into Sparks

Dream Can - Kill the Man (Official Music Video)

Crawling with so many ideas, effects, and layers that it takes a half dozen listens to begin to sink in properly, Dream Can’s fiery, flickering first album will make itself immediately at home in your gray matter. The young Shanghai band name checks all-time psych greats like Acid Mothers Temple among their influences, and that remains apparent from the building space-noise of album opener “Cheap Cheap Time I Live, Money Money Saves Me,” to the dreamlike tape-loop reverie of instrumental number “Gooo,” to the mercurial, virtuosic guitar work on “Kill the Man,” the stunning climax of this enthralling debut.
Dream Can has a softer side on Into Sparks, too, showing tenderness and emotional depth on less scorched tracks like “But I Am a Lonely Girl” and the plaintive closer, “In The Rickety Time” What’s audible throughout the album is the band’s originality, their dedicated and delicate approach to songwriting that has set them apart from their peers in four short years together.

Dream Can’s sound and lyrics are built of chaos, fractured time, the ultimate inability (or refusal) to disentangle dream from reality. But on Into Spark, these talented young artists take the confusion of the age and turn it into something a few steps short of nihilism, something that makes the listener curious to keep going, to hear more. In the words of vocalist and guitarist A Re, “It’s not fear, it's the joy of being

Vaureen - Stare Into The Sun

Vaureen - Stare Into The Sun

If you're looking for carefree, happy-time jams, you won't get them from Vaureen. Taking cues from ‘90s alternative, shoegaze, stoner and psych rock — but not sounding quite like any — their dynamic sound ranges from airy to foreboding, always on the edge.

The band formed in 2011 when co-workers Andrea and Marianne first began playing music together. Since then, the band’s songwriting process has gotten faster, more confident, and more experimental. They released their first EP, Dirty Floor, in September 2015, and their next EP, Violence, is due out November 2016.

Vaureen’s current rotation is Andrea, designer and all-around creative powerhouse; Marianne, web programmer and bad joke-teller, and Cale, book/soccer/beer expert. They’ll talk with you about anything from podcasts to religion to ‘90s movies, and they would love to make your acquaintance.

The Cordial Sins - Not Enough

The Cordial Sins - Not Enough

The Cordial Sins are an alternative rock group hailing from Columbus, Ohio. Mixing harmonious elements from traditional shoegaze groups like Slowdive, with classic grunge and alternative rock production, they stand apart from the rest. Front-woman, Liz Fisher, classically trained in violin - brings an indubitable force of musical skill enhanced with profound lyrical imagination while lead guitarist, Corey Dickerson, grounds the band in its rock roots with shimmering guitar licks heavily influenced by Nels Cline, Jonny Greenwood, and Carl Broemel.

The Cordial Sins are original and modern, but have the whiff of nostalgia; drawing on memories of 90’s riot grrrl punk and early 00’s alternative rock like Death Cab or Radiohead. Together as a band, their musical savviness intertwined with their eclectic influences make for an exciting, bold, and sonically-pleasing mixture of alt-rock, shoegaze, and pop.

The Cordial Sins released their debut EP, Only Human, in October 2017. Since the 2016 premiere of the EP’s first single, “Go On”, the band has received continued support and airplay from tastemaker alternative station CD102.5fm.
The Sins have had success supporting acts such as UK-group Wolf Alice, Genevieve (of Company of Thieves) and have performed at the 2017 Bunbury Music Festival. 2018 will prove to be the The Cordial Sins’ strongest year yet with the anticipation of their forthcoming singles and performances at Springsfest and the inaugural Bellwether Festival.

Weekend Lovers - Gimme Gimme

Weekend Lovers - Gimme Gimme

"The Weekend Lovers deliver rock 'n' roll with a velvety wistfulness reminiscent of Christine McVie starkly juxtaposed with the unrepentant snarl of The Pretenders." Xavier Otero - The Tucson Weekly

Lyrics
Who was I to think it would last so long?
We were writing all our favorite songs
We were always heading out
Why don't you gimme gimme gimme gimme...

Who was I to think I would cry for you?
I would lie and you would try for you.
We were always heading home.

Put me in your eyes, take me by surprise, make me realize, tell me what you want to do.
Take me by the hand, tell me I'm your man, make me understand, make me wanna try for you. Won't you?
Finish what you start, come on break my heart, tell me in the dark. Tell me what you want to do, won't you?
