Pauline Andrès - Let's Be Outlaws
Born in France a coal miner's daughter, Pauline Andres made a name for herself with a sweet and smoky voice that “perfectly conveys the thoughts and observations of an old soul walking home at closing time.”
Her nonchalant style tastefully serves an inclination for the ordinary suffering and every day disappointments combined with subtle literary references.
The songstress recently settled in Music City after spending 5 years in Berlin, where she recorded the accidental EP 'Fuck You French Girl' and 2 LPs: 'All Them Ghosts' and 'The Heart Breaks'. Both records helped her build a reputation as a unique lyricist and vocalist.
Her work has been described as “Stunning” (PopDose) and “Smoky Americana” (Pop Matters).
After the highly positive reception of 'The Heart Breaks' in the US, she decided to join “her” people, in the American South. This decision gave birth to her 3rd LP, to be released early 2018. Andres wrote and produced this new record with the help of bigger guns in the industry to achieve a new sound, making this collection of songs her most approachable work to date.
Lyrics - Let's Be Outlaws
Oh darling my darling
Let’s get on our way
Oh darling my darling
Tell me what would you say
If we’d hit the road
If we’d quit our jobs
Let’s break a little law
Let’s feel a little joy
Oh darling my darling
You know anything goes
So darling my darling
Let’s be outlaws
Oh darling my darling
This ain’t the life we chose
Forced to make a living
All the while we grow old
Oh darling my darling
Let’s turn the tables
Let’s get back on the road
You know I’m willing and I’m able
Please darling my darling
Let’s be something more
Darling my darling
Let’s be outlaws
Let’s be outlaws
